Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller is ecstatic that a $1.2 million investment has been made to build three additional classrooms at Omokoroa Point School and is labelling it a major win for the fast-growing local community.

“We are anticipating significant growth here in Omokoroa with both residential subdivisions and a recently announced Special Housing Area. This announcement will help future-proof Omokoroa Point School for population increases and the associated pressure this puts on school rolls” Mr Muller said.

“New families are moving into the area every week and when you visit Omokoroa it’s easy to see why with its fabulous views overlooking Tauranga Harbour, Matakana Island and the Kaimai Ranges” he added.

“It’s really great to see proactive investment in our schools to ensure we are ahead of projected growth and meeting our community’s needs” he concluded.
