Community Meetings in the Bay of Plenty Electorate

Throughout the year I hold public meetings to engage with constituents and hear their views, concerns and questions. The following meetings are scheduled, to which constituents are invited. I hope you can attend.

Papamoa Community Meeting For Discussion On Law and Order

Wednesday 25 March, 6-7 pm at Golden Sands School, Papamoa East

There has been quite a bit of conversation on social media lately about crime in Papamoa. This is your opportunity to hear from Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller, Bruce Banks from Western Bay of Plenty Neighbourhood Support and regional police representatives.

Pre-registration is open.

Welcome Bay Community Meeting

Thursday 16 April 2020, 6-7 pm at Welcome Bay School

Join your MP Todd Muller and his guest Hon Jacqui Dean who is National's Spokesperson for Local Government and Conservation. This is a great opportunity to hear about National's local government policy and what changes you can expect to see at a local level if National forms the next government this September.

Todd and Jacqui will start the meeting by sharing news and updates that relate to the Bay of Plenty and New Zealand and then there will be an opportunity to ask questions on topics that interest you.

Registration will be open shortly.

Papamoa Community Meeting to hear about National's Plans for Law and Order

Monday 25 May 2020, 6-7 pm at Golden Sands School

Hon Mark Mitchell is National's spokesperson for Justice and Defence. He has been a police dog handler and member of the Armed Offenders Squad. Late last year, Simon Bridges and Mark released National’s Law and Order Discussion Document outlining their plans and policies to improve our justice system, with a focus on victims. The Discussion Document also outlined National’s Gang Action Plan to deal with the number of gang members and gang violence in New Zealand.

You can read the document and take the survey here.

Registration will be open shortly.
