Broadband rollout supporting Bay of Plenty’s growth

Thursday, August 20, 2015

More residents are accessing high speed broadband and improved mobile connectivity as the Government’s Broadband rollout reached 88 percent completion in the Bay of Plenty.

“We are experiencing significant growth in our region and it’s great that infrastructure investment is keeping pace”, says local MP Todd Muller.

“I am delighted that Oropi has a new mobile tower and the Ultra-Fast Broadband build is Tauranga has reached 90 percent completion, meaning 45,500 users are able to connect to UFB”.

Fast broadband is enabling unprecedented economic opportunities for regional New Zealanders. It enables business to better connect with markets and customers both here and overseas while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of living outside the main centres.
